Digital Plans - Ergatta and WaterRower Tall and Extra Tall Seat Rails

This is a digital download, not a physical seat. You get a PDF plan set to build taller seat rails for an Ergatta or WaterRower seat. Nothing ships.

Imperial (US) or Metric: choose above. You get only the set you pick.

One plan set covers both heights: Tall (6-1/2" / 165 mm rails) raises the seat 2" over stock, and Extra Tall (8" / 203 mm rails) raises it 3-1/2". You build two hardwood rails per seat. Everything else moves over from your stock seat, plus four longer M8 bolts.

What's included

• Sheet 02: rail layout for both heights, full size 1:1 (print the 11 x 17 sheet at 100%, or A3 for the metric set, lay it on the board, mark the holes)
• Sheet 03: hardware checklist and step-by-step install

What you'll need

• 1" (25 mm) thick hardwood, two rails per seat: 1" x 6-1/2" x 8-3/4" (Tall) or 1" x 8" x 8-3/4" (Extra Tall)
• (4) longer M8 x 1.25 bolts: 200 mm hex for Tall (McMaster-Carr 91287A327) or 240 mm socket head for Extra Tall (McMaster-Carr 91290A122)
• A table saw or circular saw, and 5/16" and 21/64" bits (8 mm and 8.5 mm for the metric set)
• For the bolt holes: a drill press with a 21/64" bit long enough for the rail height, or a hand drill and the HA Woodworks Seat Rail Drill Guide with a 21/64" extension bit at least 6-1/2" (165 mm) long. A 6" bit covers Tall only. A 12" covers both.
• To install: (2) 5mm Allen wrenches, a 13mm socket, a small flathead or pick, and a medium flathead screwdriver

Every plan comes with a Personal License: build it for yourself or as a gift. Selling seats built from these plans requires a Commercial License, sold separately. Please don't share, copy or resell the plans.
