I have always rowed for exercise, but I needed something quiet for my condo. The water rower seemed perfect, but the design puts your feet between the rails which made my knees hurt after rowing 15 to 20 minutes. I finally got tired (enough) of seeing dust collect on it and going to the gym to get on a regular erg. I found a link to Chris’s site in a chat search. I had to do the pin conversion and I was a little nervous that it would actually come out OK when I ordered it but everything went together smoothly. It feels super solid and I think now finally I will be able to enjoy the rower I bought years ago.

Very beautifully made. Easy to install. Much more comfortable than original footboard.
Easy to install, all of the predrilled holes were right on. The widened stance takes the pressure off my knees.
Absolutely amazing! Chris communicated well, and we agreed on a perfect-fit footboard for my water-rower. I wasn't picky in terms of color, but it matches well. Feels like OM equipment. The instructions made the install simple. Very impressed. WaterRower/Ergatta should hire this man for custom work!
